Synopsis HEALING THE MIND AND SOUL: A view from the hidden reality Author: Garry A. Flint, Ph.D. Healing the Mind and Soul takes a look at how intruding fields—such as souls, demons and fallen angels—can block therapy and even influence our experience of life. From a scientific perspective, and calling on over thirty years experience working as a therapist, psychologist Garry Flint presents a theory for the existence of intruding fields, and how they can attach themselves to us. Both general readers and mental health professionals can easily understand the theory. Uniquely, Flint looks at our sensory experience in 3D-Reality from the point of view of the hidden reality: the dimensional activity described by quantum theory. He explains how activity in the hidden reality affects our behavior and can sometimes get in the way of successful treatment when we are experiencing problems. The author offers a new definition of the subconscious. He has found that it is independent of the conscious and unconscious minds and that it can access and treat mental issues. It is an invaluable tool in the process of treatment. Time itself is only a construct to describe the unfolding reality described by the theory. Furthermore, Flint helps us understand how many of our experiences cannot be explained by our usual understanding of reality. Flint clearly defines the structure and psycho-spiritual functions of the 11 dimensions of the Universe and how the 0th to 9th dimensions are imbedded in the 10th dimension. It is this dimension that preserves the logical and orderly relationship between all living and inert objects and helps us understand how everything is connected. Chapter 1 explains how the author became interested in intruding fields when proven treatment methods failed to provide the expected results. This led to his search for a means to explain them. Here he presents evidence to show how intruding fields operate in the hidden reality and they are able to attach themselves to our Personal Field. In Chapter 2, Flint explains why some experiences in 3D-Reality can open the door to intruding fields. Why is it that only some of us will attract them? Here we are led to an understanding of why intense traumatic experiences and memories are more likely to attract an intruding field. He also explains how intruding fields can block successful treatment. The origin and structure of our Personal Field is explained in Chapter 3. Flint uses a physics theory as the basis for a model to help us conceptualize the hidden reality. It explains how our Personal Field records all our experiences from conception to the present time. The intruding fields that attach to us are the Personal Fields of dead people. They have a quality from their lifetime that resonates with and is attracted to a similar quality—or problem—in our own Personal Field that enables an intrusion. Chapter 4 describes how intruding fields can be treated in therapy. Using transcripts from sessions with patients, Flint shows how a complex structure of fields may form and how their treatment involves taking apart these structures. He also explains why the intruding fields must always be treated with respect and compassion so they too may be healed. In Chapter 5, Flint discusses how the nonlocal property of the hidden reality allows one to heal people at a distance or by prayer. He explores the features of distant healing and the human qualities necessary for effective prayer. He details several remarkable case histories that show the success of this kind of treatment using the hidden reality, for example, with Emotional Freedom Techniques. Chapter 6 presents many of the experimental interventions that Flint uses in his work involving the hidden reality that simplify and aid treatment. He shows how the reader can pass his or her own treatment wisdom to others enabling them to participate actively in their own healing. Chapter 7 looks at the spiritual aspect of treatment and uses what he calls Wisdom, defined as a self-organized, intelligent field, to get a more efficient treatment with faster results. He also tells us how the 10th dimension—called the Manager—is the power that runs the universe by preserving logical and orderly relationships between all objects in 3D-Reality. Actions by the Manager are based on fixed laws of the universe that work to bring everyone more happiness and less pain. Chapter 8 describes another treatment using the hidden reality. Additional treatments are described that involve the use of Wisdom. Included in these treatments is a procedure for treating complex ancestral influences. The Appendices provide a practical guide to getting in touch with your subconscious and interventions to treat barriers in your Personal Field. *** Healing the Mind and Soul is a fascinating and stimulating guide to understanding consciousness, the nature of reality, evolution and afterlife. It describes the interrelatedness of all living and inert objects in the universe paving the way for our accepting the existence of, and connection to, intruding fields. Always practical and clear, this book will prove an invaluable tool to health professionals as well as people who are following a spiritual path. Rev.04-22-2011 |
